ClearState

Your documents are not stored

When you run a RuleState check, your document is processed so RuleState can read it. The original file is not saved.

If you save your work

If you create an account and save a review in progress, RuleState saves the text it extracted and the working information needed to continue. The original document is not saved. When you return, upload it again to continue toward a frozen rulebook.

When you freeze

The frozen rulebook is saved: the confirmed rules, the passages they came from, who confirmed and when. That version stays as it was. When the policy changes, you create a new version.

Where

Frozen rulebooks and saved work are stored in the EU.

ClearState

When a rulebook is used in ClearState, the facts you submit are checked against it. Test runs do not create real decision records.
